  • Increase of delivered seedlings in 2017

    The Swedish Forest Agency conducts an annual survey by questionnaire on the production of seedlings for forest regeneration in Sweden. According to the latest survey in 2017 a total of 375 million seedlings were delivered in 2017 which is an increase of almost 9 percent compared to 2016.   • Increased volume of standing trees for conservation purposes

    The results from the latest monitoring of environmental considerations in the forest show that the volumes of standing trees for conservation purposes and down wood given as consideration is about 6.5 forest cubic meters per hectare each and increases slightly.     In 2017, the Swedish Forest Agency decided on 240 new habitat protection areas. The decisions included 1,237 hectares of productive forest land, which is 15 % less than 2016.
