After a trend of declining levels of areas notified for final felling during last fall and winter, there was a clear turning up during March. The increase was 16 per cent in comparison with the same month 2019. Region Central Sweden had the largest increase and in region Northern Sweden the levels reached the highest note since 2007. / Swedish Forest Agency

The trend since last fall of declining levels of areas notified for final felling stopped in February. The level of areas notified is the same as in February last year. There is, however, a large variation between different parts of Sweden where the region of Central Sweden showed the highest note in 14 years. / Swedish Forest Agency
